In this article we are going to explain you how to install the Warp VR app on the Pico G2 4k by sideloading. Sideloading allows you to install the app from its .apk, in general we recommend this procedure only to expert users that knows what they are doing and to users that have a real need to actually install the app by this means. For most users the best approach is to always install the app from the Pico store where we always provide the latest available version.

Things you need

USB cable
Adb (it can be installed from here Android Platform Tools
Mac or Pc with USB 3.0 port or higher
.apk file of Warp VR app (you can download it here: Warp VR Pico

First things first: enable Developer Mode for Pico headsets

NOTE:If your device was already set in Developer Mode you can skip to the next section.

Got to Settings on your Pico device
Click on Advanced Settings
Scroll down and Click System
Scroll down and click About Device
Click PUI Version 10 times to enable Developer Mode
Go back and click Developer options
Scroll down and enable USB debugging

Congratulations, now your device is in Developer Mode!

And now install the .apk file on your Pico

Connect your Pico to your computer with an USB cable
Make sure that no version of Warp VR app is running on your device, to do so, double click the button with the Pico logo on the controller and select "Close all" on the right of "Usage record" panel.
Open the Terminal (macOS) or the PowerShell (Windows)
Move to the folder where you have downloaded the Warp VR apk (you can navigate the folder by using the "cd" command, if you have doubts about navigating with the command line you can learn more about it here:
Once in the correct folder and with the device connected write adb install -r WarpVR_Pico.apk and press Enter.
You should see the word Success in the terminal. (If, on the other hand, you see an error mentioning version downgrade, it means you will need to delete the Warp VR app version from your device first, from the library select the "Edit" button and then the Trash button near the Warp VR app to delete it).
Put on your Pico headset and you will see the Warp VR app in your library.
